What is butter slime?

Butter slime is soft, smooth and spreadable, a bit like icing or soft butter. It stretches without tearing, folds over itself easily and can be spread flat and swirled into shapes. Our glossy butter slimes add a shiny finish, so every fold catches the light.

The collection includes Strawberry Milk, a pink slime topped with strawberry charms; Blueberry Swirl in sky blue; Peachy Cream Fluff with tiny peach charms; Mango Smoothie in creamy orange; the milky-white Milk Slime; and Fruit Loops, a white butter slime piled with rainbow beads.

Who is butter slime for?

We rate butter slime as our intermediate texture. It's easier to handle than clear slime but a little softer and stickier than cloud creme, so it suits anyone who has played with slime before or wants a satisfying, all-round texture. It's also the base for several of our DIY clay-kits, including Hot Cocoa, HoneyComb and Fruity Swirl.

If a butter slime feels cold and stiff when it arrives, don't add activator. Play with it for a few minutes and the warmth of your hands will soften it.

Scents and sizes

Most butter slimes are scented, with strawberry, blueberry, peaches and cream, and mango, while Milk Slime and Fruit Loops are unscented. All come in 2oz, 4oz and 8oz jars, are handmade in Canada and ship with an activator spray and a care sheet.
