DIY Clay-Kit Slimes, handmade in Canada

What is a DIY clay-kit slime?

A clay-kit is an 8oz slime with soft clay toppers that you mix in yourself. You start with a finished slime and a decorated topper, such as marshmallows on Hot Cocoa, a teddy bear on Teddy's Dream Cloud or seashells on A Day at the Beach. Then you press the clay into the slime and fold it through. As the clay blends in, the slime's texture and colour change.

Some kits include extras: HoneyComb comes with a 2oz clear honey slime, bee charms and a mini wooden honey spoon, and A Day at the Beach adds a 2oz blue clear slime for the waves.

Is this a DIY slime kit?

Yes, but not the make-it-from-scratch kind. Some DIY slime kits come with glue and activator so you can make slime yourself. Ours arrive with the slime already made. The do-it-yourself part is decorating and mixing: pressing the clay toppers in, folding them through and watching the slime change. That means no measuring, no mess with glue, and the finished slime is ready to play with straight away.

Which clay-kit should I choose?

The kits use different base slimes, so you can pick by texture as well as theme. Cloud bases: Teddy's Dream Cloud, Mango Ice-Cream, Double Chocolate Scoop, Rose Garden, A Day at the Beach and Frosted Christmas Fluff. Butter bases: Hot Cocoa, HoneyComb and Fruity Swirl. Clear bases: Pineapple Paradise and Strawberry Sparkle. Icee base: Blue Raspberry.

Clay-kits make a fun activity for two people, or a gift with a bit of theatre: the toppers look like little desserts and flowers until you squish them in.

Good to know

Mix the clay in slowly, a little at a time, so you can enjoy each stage of the texture change. Every kit is handmade in Canada and comes with an activator spray and a care sheet. If you'd like several, the Clay-Kit Slime Bundle includes four kits in one box.
