Slime Care Guide

With proper care, slimes can last for several months. However, it's common for slimes to lose their shape or soften over time, depending on factors like weather or how long they’ve been stored. Fortunately, adjusting the texture is usually a quick and simple fix.

To help your slime stay in good condition for longer, always wash your hands before use and play on a clean surface to prevent dirt or bacteria from contaminating it.

When you're done playing, store your slime in an airtight container and keep it in a cool place. Remember to regularly reactivate it with the included slime activator to maintain its consistency.

WHAT IS SLIME ACTIVATOR, AND HOW SHOULD IT BE USED?

  • Slime activator is a liquid mixture of borax dissolved in water, which is essential for forming and preserving slime's ideal gooey texture through a chemical reaction.
  • Before playing with your slime, carefully touch it to test if it is sticky; if it is sticky, add a few drops of slime activator at a time to fix it.
  • Every order comes with a slime activator spray bottle.

HOW TO FIX STICKY SLIME?

  • The ingredients in your slime may cause it to become stickier than you'd like, especially in warmer temperatures.
  • To bring it back to the desired texture, just add a small amount of slime activator (included in every order) and knead until you reach the consistency you prefer.
  • Be careful not to add too much, as this can make the slime too stiff.

HOW TO FIX STIFF/HARD SLIME?

  • Slimes can become stiff and hard, particularly during colder months because of the ingredients. But no need to worry! There are several simple methods to fix this.
  • Opaque slime (white glue based): Add small amounts of lotion and mix it with the slime until you get the desired consistency. If that doesn't work, massage your slime in hot water.
  • Clear slime (clear glue based): Leave the slime in an airtight container in a warm place for a few days for the slime to thaw and soften up, or to speed up the process, submerge the airtight container in hot water.

HOW LONG WILL MY SLIME LAST?

  • Slime can last for a long time if properly cared for. Store it in an airtight container and keep it in a cool place. Be sure to wash your hands before and after playing with it to keep it clean and free from bacteria.
  • With proper maintenance, slime will last for several months.
